I live 50m from this delicious restaurant. The food is great, specially the sauces. I always take the Tofu menu. It is superb. I have already tried the meat menus but the tofu is the best for me.
Another must are the summer rolls with shrimps!
If you are around the Mauerpark, this place is a must. One of the best - if not the best - asians in Berlin. -

A companion of mine and I were here for lunch on Sunday. Not that we wanted Vietnamese in particular, but this restaurant was close to where my companion lives.
So we took a seat outside. We grabbed a couple of menus from a neighboring table (service seemed slow). We shared a pair of Spring Rolls for appetizers, and we took each a tofu curry and a chicken curry, listed on their blackboard posted outside.
I have to say that I am only giving this restaurant 3 stars because there seems to be nothing that makes this restaurant special. There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin, so every restaurant has to give the extra oomph and show that they are better than the hundreds of other restaurants offering the same pho or spring rolls. And the way I see it, this one doesn't have the extra oomph.
Our curries were okay, but we were puzzled why there seemed not enough main dishes in the menu. They seemed to have only spring rolls, a couple of salads, and pho. But from the looks of it, it doesn't seem like a place that specializes in pho to merit having a very small menu. -

I could copy and paste this place, this would be an instant success in LA. I have never been to Vietnam, but if I thought how an authentic place should look, smell and sound - this is just the place. Then, the food is incredibly fresh - and ... it's just amazing. That aside, we did not go for a lunch menu (which is generally cheap in Berlin, even in my five star hotel you can lunch for EUR 10), but the three of us had three starters and three entrees from the main menu - and the check was less than $60. Amazing!

On a relaxed 3pm the cold berlin air whisked me to Onkel Ho to warm up my brittle soul. I ordered the seafood soup with noodles, surimi amd shrimp. The seafood itself was not so impressive but the broth was spot on. Brownie points for the relaxing interior decor. There were only 2 other tables at the time, but the service was extremely sloooow. Waiter seemed super uninterested and as if he didnt want to be there. Shame.

I was really surprised here. I expected a place that looked kitschy and tacky with food that was simple and tasteless. But that was not at all the case.
Just around the corner from Mauerpark, a few blocks from the bahn is this simple soothing restaurant. The main dishes change daily and the staff is super friendly. I enjoyed a delicious red curry with chicken breast vegetables and aromatic rice. The prices are great, quite inexpensive especially for what you get!
